The Micro Matter of designer Rosa de Jong features upright Dwellings within Glass Test Tubes

Rosa de Jong , a designer & art director based in Amsterdam has fashioned soaring houses and giant buildings within the slender spaces of outsized glass test tubes for Micro Matter, her new series. Possibly like a ship inside a bottle, these undersized houses & buildings have all been handmade by the use of natural materials and a number of model fashioning building blocks, an example of which is faux moss. A number of pieces also play with the gravitational pull and looks as if growing upward as well as downward. These will remind you of Cinta Vidal’s paintings or Thomas Doyle’s sculptures.
